Hand Rolled Sushi Making Class by Mai

Learn how to make the traditional Japanese dish “hand rolled sushi” and eat your own.

Mai is a former food writer who now runs an English tea shop with her husband in the historic harbor town of Mitarai.
You will be making traditional Japanese hand rolled sushi with Mai as your instructor.

Enjoy eating your own handmade hand rolled sushi and enjoy a variety of different teas.

The bamboo mat you use for rolling the sushi is yours to take home. Perfect for holding another sushi party for your friends and family when you get back.

Highlights of the experience.

Class conducted in English

Hosts Mai and Tom are fluent in English.
Take advantage of the hosts’ fluency in English and ask about Japan, island living or the town of Mitarai.

Come and enjoy English and Japanese tea.

Growing up in the UK, Tom knows a thing or two about tea and scones. Mai and Tom opened the tea shop in 2019 after studying scone making in Devon.
