Basic Policy

The Tobishimare Association (Association) fully recognises that the appropriate storage and management of personally identifiable information (Personal Information) such as names, addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers obtained from the user is a social responsibility, and has established this privacy policy for the purpose of utilising and improving our personal information protection system.

  • Compliance with laws and regulations about Personal Information

    The Association was established in 2019 in order to contribute to the stimulation of tourism including lodging in the Tobishima Kaido region, and the development of speciality products. The Association will comply with laws and regulations applicable in respect to Personal Information. (Tobishima Kaido refers to a scenic ocean road connected by sevenbridges, between Shimokamagarijima, Kamikamagarijima, Toyoshima, Osakishimojima, Heirashima and Nakanojima islands of Hiroshima Prefecture's Kure City, and Okamurajima island of Ehime Prefecture's Imabari City.)

  • Appropriate acquisition of Personal Information

    In some cases, the Association will obtain Personal Information from users on parts of the website (through enquiries and bookings). In these cases, the purpose of the use of the obtained Personal Information will be made clear, and obtained with the consent of the user within an appropriate scope.

  • Use of Personal Information

    The Association will use Personal Information within the scope of the purpose of use as presented at the time the information was acquired or other, and within the limits required for the execution of business. If the handling of Personal Information will be outsourced to a third party, said third party shall enter into a confidentiality agreement, and the Association will clarify this responsibility, and carry out necessary and appropriate supervision for the purpose of safely managing Personal Information.

  • Management of Personal Information

    The Association fully commits to safe management such that unauthorized access or the loss, destruction, alteration, leakage or other of information does not occur. If the handling of Personal Information is outsourced to a contractor as part of our business, this shall be done upon entrance into a confidentiality agreement, and the supervision of the contractor shall be the responsibility of the Association.

  • Providing third parties with Personal Information

    The Association, in principle apart from in the below situations, shall not provide Personal Information to third parties.

    1. They have the consent of the user.
    2. If it is so stipulated in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or any other laws and regulations.
  • Enquiries about Personal Information (corrections, disclosures or deletions)

    The Association will respond in a timely manner if requested to disclose, amend, cease usage of, or delete a user's own Personal Information. Please use the contact details below for such requests.

  • Establishment, implementation and improvement of provisions relating to the protection of Personal Information

    The Association will revise and improve the content of this privacy policy on a continual basis in order to ensure the above principles are upheld.
